A brand of fitness programs dubbed Iamsuperchick.com may sound like it’s meant for hardcore workout addicts — and the photo of its creators may look impossibly glam — but its actually aiming to take the intimidation out of exercise.

Georgie Thompson, a U.K. television presenter who founded the service along with personal trainer Cat Dungale, acknowledges that plenty of women would rather sit on the couch cradling a glass of wine in one hand and peanuts in the other than train.

“Women won’t stick to an unrealistic training program, no matter how committed they are,” she says.

“We offer an alternative: Online programs and home videos they can fit into their hectic lifestyles. The reason Cat and I created iamsuperchick.com was to help women who enjoy fitness but are too intimidated by it.”

Indeed, from the Yummy Mummy to the Fight Club workout, the website caters to a variety of lifestyles. “If we’re going to put ourselves out there as a female fitness brand which responds to the demands of women, it must be reflected in the service,” explains Thompson.

Whether you use a can of food as weights or choose to do lunges while vacuuming, Thompson and Dungale want to inspire you to get fit on your own turf. “Using what you have lying around the house and turning your front room into a gym is part of our credit-crunch appeal,” Thompson says.

“Fitness should be more light-hearted, not about fancy equipment or spending a fortune on personal trainers.”

“We make exercise fun. We have an alcohol calculator, interactive training diary and fitness assessment charts as well as Motivation Monday, where we send members an electronic cupcake. When you operate an online business it’s important to connect in a more personal way and Motivation Monday is one way we do that.”

If the idea of stepping foot in a gym makes you break out into a cold sweat then Sky Sports presenter Georgie Thompson may have found the solution.

Between presenting and dating Declan Donnely, the pint-sized blonde has squeezed in creating a fitness website that caters for the lazy girl's sporting needs.

Designed for those who prefer cocktails to cardio, iamsuperchick.com will devise a programme for you to work out to - from the comfort of your front room.

But if even the prospect of forking out £9.99 for the monthly online workout videos seems a stretch, Thompson has a solution for that too.

There is an easier way to tone up, according to the lad's mag pin-up, by incorporating some simple moves from household chores into your exercise routine.

Turn hoovering into a lunging session and make the most of tinned baked beans for a pair of makeshift weights to define your arms.

Bingo wings? No problem, promises Thompson, banish them with some polishing - and for the gourmets, bake a cake to work the chest muscles.

Led by co founder and personal trainer Cat Dugdale, Thompson one day endured a particularly painful training session in London's Battersea Park, made worse by an accompanying hangover.

Over breakfast, the pair had an idea to make personal training more affordable and accessible.

The site currently has over 10,000 members, in Britain, America and Australia.

With the average gym membership costing £796.82 for 12 months, and 47 per cent of females going once a week or less, the service aims to save women hundreds of pounds.

Thompson said: 'It's much harder during the winter to motivate yourself up off the sofa and out of the house to do any form of fitness.

'That's why we devised a way for women to hibernate and get fit at the same time using our home training videos.

'Regularly updated, they are easy to use and like having a personal trainer in your front room without paying the hefty price tag.'

The sporting host clearly has a busy schedule and recently revealed plans for marriage and children.

She told Closer magazine: 'I come from a happy home, so I want marriage and kids. In fact, I want a football team worth of kids.'

Thompson, 31, is Saturday Night Takeaway presenter Dec's first serious romance since he split from long-term love TV actress Clare Buckfield in 2003.

She said: 'We don't act like a typical showbiz couple because we have the same attitude towards fame.

'We'd rather hang out with friends with a takeaway or watch a film than hang out at glitzy dos.'
